Kinetic analysis of rapamycin-mediated diminution of virus-encoded reporter gene activity in human T leukemic cells. WE17/10 cells (10⁵) were infected with HXB-Luc particles (10 ng of p24) and either left untreated or treated with rapamycin (1.1 nM) at the indicated time points after virus infection. Cells were maintained in culture for 72 h, and luciferase activity was assessed as described in Materials and Methods. Results shown are the means ± standard deviation of quadruplicate samples and are representative of at least three independent experiments.
