Multivariate analysis of factors associated with initial Self-Perceived clinical readiness

Variable Coefficient (95% CI) p-value
Baseline* 2.81 (2.17, 3.46) < 0.001
State University −0.50 (−0.97, −0.03) 0.036
Previous internships in the same specialty −0.63 (−1.24, −0.02) 0.044
International Exchange 0.47 (0.01, 0.93) 0.046

Multivariate regression results identify significant predictors of self-perceived clinical readiness on the first day of residency as recalled 8 months into residency. The baseline is the average score of residents having graduated in non-state universities who did not participate in specialty-specific internships or international exchange programs
