PodJL and PodJS steady-state levels peak at different times during the cell cycle. Swarmer cells were isolated by Ludox gradient centrifugation and released into M2G medium. Samples of equal volume were collected from the synchronous culture every 20 min and subjected to immunoblotting by using the PodJ NTD and CTD antibodies, with antibodies to CtrA as a control.
