Multiplicative effect of factors confirmed in microarray experiment. (A) Scatter plots comparing measured transcriptome changes with estimated changes. Measurements were taken 30 min after the simultaneous application of heat shock and osmotic shock (18). The estimated change was calculated by multiplying the measurements for each type of shock.
