AT skews obtained from the real genome of Nostoc sp. and an artificial one created when genes are rearranged in an order that produces a perfect CDS skew (all forward genes arranged sequentially, followed by all reverse complement genes). A clear-cut AT skew emerges from the artificial genome with the perfect CDS skew, which is also shown in black. The corresponding GC skews follow similar pattern and are not presented here for sake of simplicity.
