For STX, parameters were obtained from the fit of Fig. 4 with Eq. 13. Sodium and calcium dissociation constants, KNa and KCa, are also shown. KNa was fixed 34 mM (Weigele and Barchi, 1978). The dissociation rate of the toxin from an ion-free channel, ν0, and from channels occupied by Na+ or Ca2+, νNa and νCa, were calculated from Eq. 11.
