Distribution of anti-Gal IgG and IgM titers in orally inoculated GalT KO mice at day 14 postgavage. Anti-Gal antibody binding titer and isotype were determined by incubating GalT+ LLCa target cells with serially diluted sera from immunized GalT KO mice. Target cells were then incubated with goat anti-mouse IgM-PE and IgG-FITC antibodies and analyzed by using a FACSCAN flow cytometer as described earlier. Each symbol represents a serum sample from one individual mouse. No antibody binding was detected in test mice prior to oral inoculation or in control mice after streptomycin treatment.
