λN*, λH–N*, and λT*, positions of the maximum of the N*, H–N*, and T* bands, respectively; PN*, PH–N*, and PT*, asymmetries of the corresponding bands; FWHMT*, full width at half-maximum of the T* band; and IN*, IH–N*, and IT*, peak intensities of the corresponding bands, obtained from the normalized emission spectra.

LUVs were studied at 20°C with [Probe]/[Lipid] = 1/100, unless indicated; DOPC (1/25) corresponds to [Probe]/[Lipid] = 1/25; EYPC-Chol corresponds to 30% (mol wt) of cholesterol in EYPC.
