Pairs were taken from one longitudinal region and the correlation coefficient calculated for the eight radial positions. Correlation matrices from all three longitudinal regions are included in this table. The values c3 and c4 are omitted because they describe a region of reduced slope, which was found mainly, although not exclusively, for recordings at the tunnel of Corti. All correlation coefficients are significantly different from zero.
