Bead model of Myo1b. A string of eight beads, one representing the motor domain, one for each of five calmodulin molecules, and two for the tail region (see text for details), was used to model the structure of Myo1b. The angles of both the motor and tail domains relative to the IQ region were selected based on the parameters obtained by analytical ultracentrifugation consistent with the EM images.
