Recommended HTS Preparations. All concentrations mentioned above can initially be administered via a peripheral IV line. However, for repeat doses of HTS with concentrations ≥5%, the use of a central IV line is recommended, if available. NS = Normal Saline; HTS = Hypertonic Saline.
