Activities of AER, SOD, APX, and catalase in leaves of control and At-AER-overproducing tobacco plants

The enzyme activities in total leaf protein extracts were determined as described in “Materials and Methods.” The electron acceptor for AER assay was HNE at 100 μm. Data are represented as means ± sd (nmol s−1 [mg protein]−1, unless otherwise specified). Measurements were carried out on four plants per line. Asterisks indicate significant differences as compared with control (P < 0.05).
