Strains sl 522 (A) and sl 205 (B) were transformed with plasmids harboring YRA1, yra1-ΔRRM, SAC3 or NUP60. They were grown for 5 days on 5-fluoro-orotic acid (FOA)-containing plates. Colony formation indicates complementation of the sl phenotype. (C and D) Genetic relationships between YRA1 and SAC3 or YRA1 and NUP60. The indicated double-disrupted strains harboring plasmid-borne YRA1 (pURA3-YRA1) were transformed with the indicated plasmid-borne gene constructs. Growth was analyzed on FOA-containing plates. No growth indicates synthetic lethality.
