1c1c7 cultures were treated with 50 μM 3-O-MeSM for 30 min before the addition of 300 nM staurosporine (A), 3 μg/ml tunicamycin (B), 2 μM thapsigargin (C) or 25 μM HA14-1 (D). Cultures were harvested for subsequent analyses of DEVDase activities at various times after the addition of apoptotic inducer. Specific treatments are noted in the Figure. (A–D) Results shown are means±S.D. for three determinations. In all cases, similar results were obtained in a second independent experiment.
