Primary mouse keratinocytes were transfected with each indicated deletion construct. The transfected cells were incubated with growth medium containing 0.05 or 1.4 mm Ca²⁺ concentration, and the CAT activity of each plate of cells was measured. CAT activity was normalized to the protein concentration measured by the Bradford assay. The bars represent the average normalized CAT activity of duplicate plates from three experiments for each construct.
