Cultivations were performed in a 2.5-liter jar fermentor containing 2 liters of CM. The aeration rate was 2 liters/min, and the agitation speed was controlled at 600 rpm. The pH of both cultures was controlled at 6.5 ± 0.1. Results are expressed as the means of duplicate measurements at the same time points in three independent experiments. The standard deviations were lower than 10% of the values.
