P values less than 0.05 were considered statistically  significant.

a

IRRs and P values were estimated using univariable generalized linear models with a negative binomial distribution and a log-link function. The adjusted models controlled for age at index date, sex, race, region, Charlson comorbidity index, disease stage at diagnosis, cancer site, primary treatment, and corresponding HCRU during the baseline period. An IRR greater than 1 indicates patients with recurrence incurred more HCRU than patients without recurrence.

HCRU = health care resource utilization; IRR = incidence rate ratio.
