Extended Data Figure 8: LSD induces cortex-wide activity modulation.

Extended Data Figure 8:

a. Band limited power in voltage (V) and calcium (Ca) across sessions. Plots show average maps across N = 3 mice. All frontal elements were powerfully suppressed in LSD, especially at higher frequencies (>4 Hz) (green arrows). RSP showed a band limited increase in power from 4-10Hz, detectable only in V (orange arrows). An infraslow midline elevation visible in both V and Ca likely reflects hemodynamic contributions given its spatial correspondence with cortical vasculature. b. Left: Representative motion energy during baseline, saline, and LSD. Right: Quantification of RMS motion energy across conditions (baseline, saline, and LSD; measured during the last 5 minutes, 15 minutes post-injection). N=3 mice. c. Example whitened spectrograms across cortex from ROIs in motor, somatosensory, visual, and RSP; frequency plotted on a log scale. Drug onset led to immediate broadband quieting. Intermediate frequency (4-10Hz) activity was relatively less affected in visual cortex and RSP. d. Example wave map during saline and LSD. Consistent for N =3 mice. No significant differences between conditions.
