Viability of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (rBMSCs) and rat neural stem cells (rNSCs) after bioprinting into rectangular scaffolds (8 × 6 × 0.3 mm) with 100% infill after 0 days and 7 days of culture. The viability was high for both rBMSCs and rNSCs after bioprinting and cells survived for 7 days in culture. B) After rBMSCs or rNSCs were bioprinted in PHA hydrogels (day 0), there was high viability of both cell types (>87%) (green, live cells; red, dead cells). Over 7 days of culture, rBMSCs maintained a high viability (~85%) but the rNSC viability decreased (~55%). Scale bar: 200 μm.
