APC were infected with nontransfected serovar Typhimurium strain SB824 or SB824 bearing the indicated plasmid at a multiplicity of infection (MOI) of ∼10, ∼1, or ∼0.1. Activation of T cells (upper panel, anti-LLO91-99; lower panel, anti-p60217-225) was measured as described in Materials and Methods. Standard deviations of duplicate cultures are indicated.
