Imaging findings of a histologically confirmed foreign body granuloma, mimicking glioma recurrence

Fluid attenuated inversion recovery and T1weighted axial images showing a right-hand side temporal lesion with T2 prolongation and rim-enhancement in follow up imaging. The diffusion weigthed image (b1000) and the corresponding apparent diffusion coefficent (ADC) map show restricted diffusion, represented by increased b1000 signal and decreased ADC within the contrast enhancing portion of the lesion, suggestive of an inflammatory process.
