Affymetrix DNA microarray analysis was performed. Total RNA was prepared from the Del. 72, Del. 92, Chim. 38, Chim. 97, and Chim 98 strains grown at 28°C and transferred for 45 min to 37°C. As a reference, we used the wild-type strain PL3a. Numbers and percentages of genes affected by different TAFII25 mutation at the nonpermissive temperature compared to the wild-type strain PL3a are indicated. Total reflects the nonredundant number of genes up- and downregulated by the mutants. Genes were considered affected when their expression level was at least twofold above or below that of the wild-type control. The error was estimated to be about 0.6%.
