&Variables with an odds ratio (OR) of 1 were defined as reference categories.

Categorical variables were numerically coded as follows: sex (1 = male, 2 = female), H. pylori eradication history (0 = uninfected, 1 = unsterilized, 2 = after sterilizing), current H. pylori infection status (0 = negative, 1 = positive), lesion location (1 = upper stomach, 2 = middle stomach, 3 = lower stomach), gastric mucosal atrophy (0 = absent, 1 = mild [C1/C2], 2 = moderate [C3/O1], 3 = severe [O2/O3]), IM (1 = IM1, 2 = IM2), EF (0 = absent, 1 = present), and microsurface and microvascular patterns (1 = regular, 2 = irregular).
