Chromosomes of prophase blastomeres exposed to brief periods of anoxia align near the nuclear membrane. Embryos were exposed to either normoxia (A-C) or 30 minutes of anoxia (D-F), or 24 hours of anoxia (G-I) collected, and stained with DAPI (A, D, G) and the mAb414 to recognize nuclear pore complex (B, E, H).
