Growth (▪) of the representative isolates and the BSH-negative control (E. coli AK108) in culture medium without TCDC (−TCDC) and in culture medium with addition of TCDC (+TCDC). The BSH activity (bars) for isolates was determined at intervals during the 24-h growth period.
