^aOver 200 cells with a small bud (whose bud diameter is approximately 1.1- to 1.5-fold of the diameter of the bud neck) were observed. Cells were cultured at 25°C, and cells at early log phase were harvested for observation (25°C) or shifted to 37°C and harvested 50 min after the shift (37°C). The cells were stained with DASPMI for visualization of mitochondria.
