The enzymes catalyzing the indicated catabolic steps are TfdA, 2,4-D/α-ketoglutarate dioxygenase, TfdB, chlorophenol hydroxylase, TfdC, chlorocatechol dioxygenase, TfdD, chloromuconate cycloisomerase, TfdE, dienelactone hydrolase, and TfdF, maleylacetate reductase.
