The FRT cassette was later deleted with FLp. Each lane labeled with an odd number shows amplified wild-type DNA, and the even-numbered lane to its right shows the corresponding deletion. Amplification in all cases used the appropriate N_ext-C_ext primer pair. DNA size standards (lanes L) are on both sides of the gel, with length in kilobases indicated on the right.
