Growth of L. monocytogenes strains in BHI broth. Overnight cultures of iLLO (DP-L3885) or wild-type L. monocytogenes strain 10403S were diluted 1:20 in BHI broth and grown in the presence of 1 mM IPTG for 6 h at 37°C. Culture aliquots were taken every 30 min to 1 h, and the OD₆₀₀ was determined.
