AIC, Akaike Information Criterion; BIC, Bayesian Information Criterion; aBIC, sample-size-adjusted BIC. Lower values indicate better fit; entropy closer to 1 indicates clearer classification. The BIC was minimized at k = 4 (narrowly relative to k = 5, ΔBIC = 1.0); the aBIC and AIC continued to decrease through k = 6; entropy was moderate at k = 4 and somewhat higher at k = 5 and k = 6. The four-profile solution was selected on BIC, parsimony, and interpretability (Section 3.3).
