| Dry seeds were harvested from Arabidopsis grown on rich soil in the greenhouse. Arabidopsis seedlings were grown vertically on plates containing complete ABIS synthetic medium for 14 days. Values are given as mean±s.e. All measurements were performed on three independent biological replicates, except values labelled #performed on two independent biological replicates. *Significant difference between wild type and nramp3 nramp4 mutants (P<0.005).
