The Ctns−/− mouse A presents a supernormal ERG, the amplitude is increased for the scotopic and photopic responses. For the Ctns−/− mouse B, the amplitude is severely impaired for both responses. (b) Slit lamp photography of the cornea of a Ctns−/− mouse. Cystine crystals, consisting of fine white, needle-shaped points, can be observed in the cornea.
