All experiments were done in 10 mM HEPES buffer, pH 7.5. The ΔG° term was corrected by the ΔH_ITC/ΔH_cal factor while the TΔS term was calculated from the Gibbs relationship. Experimental errors for each parameter are as follows: ΔH_ITC, 3%; ΔV, 5%; ΔG° and TΔS, 5%; Δn_Na+, 6%.
