Figure 1.

Panel A: June 2024 contrast‑enhanced chest CT shows a 61 mm×65 mm spiculated lobulated soft‑tissue mass in the right upper lobe with bronchial obstruction and rim enhancement. Panel B: Bronchoscopy shows infiltrative mucosal changes and extrinsic stenosis of the right upper lobe bronchus. Panel C: HE‑stained biopsy (×10) reveals non‑keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma. Panel D‑E: October 2024 follow‑up CT and endoscopy show obvious lesion improvement. Panel F: Surgical pathology confirms non‑keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma.Figure 3 Alt‑Text:Panel A: September 2025 contrast‑enhanced abdominal CT shows focal thickening of the ileocecal intestinal wall. Neoplastic lesion is highly suspected, while intestinal tuberculosis cannot be excluded clinically. Panel B: Postoperative HE‑stained histopathology (×10) identifies moderately‑differentiated ascending colon adenocarcinoma invading the intestinal serosal layer.

(A) Contrast-enhanced chest CT scan in June 2024 showed a soft tissue mass in the right upper lobe, measuring approximately 61mm×65mm, with slight lobulation, spiculated margins, and adjacent bronchial obstruction. The mass exhibited obvious rim enhancement on contrast enhancement. (B) Bronchoscopy revealed infiltrative changes in the mucosa of the right upper lobe bronchus, with external compressive stenosis of the lumen. (C) Bronchoscopic pathology (HE staining, ×10 magnification) demonstrated squamous cell carcinoma without keratinisation. (D) Follow-up contrast-enhanced chest CT scan in October 2024 showed a significant reduction in the size of the right upper lobe mass compared with the previous scan, measuring approximately 37mm×29mm. (E) Follow-up bronchoscopy in October 2024 revealed mucosal edema of the right upper lobe bronchus, with a patent lumen. (F) Surgical pathology (HE staining, ×10 magnification) confirmed squamous cell carcinoma without keratinisation.
