^aThe SAOS-α2β1 cells were transfected with HA-tagged wild-type caveolin-3 or dominant negative caveolin for 48 h and then infected with EV1. Ten hours p.i., the cells were labeled with rabbit anti-EV1 and mouse anti-HA antibodies. The proportion of infected cells among the transfected ones was calculated using a confocal microscope. The experiment was carried out three times. The results are from three parallel samples. The number of cells used for the calculation is in parentheses.
