MV-LAP affects MHC-I expression in infected cells. BGMK cells were analyzed for MHC-I (A) or CD95 (B) expression (FL-2). Cells were either mock infected (dashed lines; calculated medians, 50.6 for MHC-I expression and 36.4 for CD95 expression) or infected with either wild-type MV (bold lines; calculated medians, 24.6 for MHC-I expression and 35.4 for CD95 expression) or an MV-ΔLAP mutant virus (dotted lines; calculated medians, 54.2 for MHC-I expression and 37.8 for CD95 expression). Background fluorescence revealed by staining with isotype control antibodies shows fluorescence in the first log. These data were reproduced in five independent experiments.
