Complementation of the S. cerevisiae Cdc5-1 defect by ectopic expression of TbPLK. A temperature-sensitive S. cerevisiae mutant (cdc5-1) was transfected with the full-length gene of TbPLK and yeast Cdc5, with the empty vector as negative control. The transfected cells were streaked on YPD agar plates and incubated for 3 days at either 25°C or 37°C.
