Performed on four independent macrophage cultures. RT-PCR was performed at least four times for each cell dilution, and the percentages of H6LT-positive cells in the HHV-6 DNA-positive cells were estimated by the Reed-Muench method shown in Fig. 6A. The copy number of the H6LT was also estimated by the cDNA dilution study (Fig. 6B). The copy number of each H6LT per H6LT-positive cell is shown. The average of four independent cultures ± standard deviation is given for each latent transcript.
