PC scatterplot of 15 vials from lot 2515203. The pattern suggests that there may be at least two groups in the data. Vial 5 is 5.1 multidimensional standard deviations (SDs) from the center of the other cluster, while vial 13 is 9.7 SDs away, vial 14 is 9.6 standard deviations away, and vial 15 is 11.6 standard deviations away from the center of the other vials. The difference in distances between vial 13 and 14, which seem close together, and to vial 15 is an artifact of the viewing angle. These distances were enough to trigger a closer examination of more lots of the drug.
