PRISMA-IPD flow diagram of the literature review. Database searches identified 1,780 records, with 2 additional studies identified through other sources. After removal of 62 duplicates, 1,720 records remained. Following screening and exclusion, 29 studies were eligible. Of these, 27 studies provided individual participant data, comprising 26 patients included in the analysis, whereas 2 studies provided aggregate data comprising 7 patients. — Flow diagram for literature review following the PRISMA-IPD (preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses of individual participant data) guidelines (Stewart et al., 2015).
