PRISMA 2020 flow diagram showing study identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and inclusion. Database searches identified 1,066 records, and citation searching identified four additional records. After removal of 288 duplicates, 778 records were screened and 748 were excluded. Thirty reports were sought for retrieval, of which two were not retrieved. Twenty-eight reports were assessed for eligibility and 13 were excluded. All four reports identified through citation searching were retrieved and assessed but subsequently excluded. Ultimately, 15 studies were included in the systematic review, and seven contributed to at least one meta-analysis.
