Effect of added electrolytes on kinetics of insulin gelation. Each of the salts (NaCl, CuCl2, CoCl2, and AlCl3) is added so as to make the final ionic strength 0.060 M. The kinetics of gelation is always faster than for a solution to which no electrolyte was added but the difference among electrolytes is minor.
