Insulin gelation kinetics in the presence of added metalloporphyrins. None of the metal derivatives of H2T4 influenced either the lag time or growth rate appreciably. An experiment conducted under the same conditions but without added metalloporphyrin is shown for comparison (▪). In contrast, the copper(II) derivative of H2TPPS has a marked influence on the kinetic profile that depends on CuTPPS concentration.
