Recombinant plasmid pJR203 was transformed into S. marcescens CH-1, and this was followed by a swarming assay performed at 30°C on a 0.2% arabinose swarming plate. 3-Oxo-C6 HSL, one of the AHL signals synthesized by SpnI, was added to the swarming plates at a concentration of either 10 or 100 μM to evaluate its effect on S. marcescens CH-1(pJR203) swarming.
