Cytoimmunochemical analysis indicates that IE1 selectively induces nuclear colocalization of RelB and p50 protein in SMCs. Cultures of SMCs were transfected and analyzed as described in the legend to Fig. 3 for immunofluorescent triple staining for IE1 (green); either NF-κB p50, RelA, or RelB subunits (red); and nuclei (blue).
