Evidence for ASV DNA nuclear import during interphase in dividing cells. HeLa cells were synchronized by mitotic shake-off. Dilute mitotic cells completed cytokinesis, producing two-cell colonies. Three hours after plating, cultures were infected with ASVA-CMVEGFP for 2 h. Cells were observed for GFP expression over the next 24 to 36 h.
