Figure 3.

Immunoblot analysis of total NCC and pNCC in urinary exosomes of KTR presenting a PHAII-like phenotype (PHAII-like phenotype) or not (others). Patients from the KTR population were divided into two groups: 1) patients who displayed a combination of hypertension, metabolic acidosis and hyperkalemia (PHAII-like phenotype), and 2) the others. No difference was observed for total NCC (A) and pNCC (B) abundances between these two groups. Densitometric analyses of immunoblot for TSG101 (C) revealed no significant difference between these two groups. Thus, after normalization for TSG101 abundance, total NCC (D) and pNCC (E) abundances were still not significantly different between the two groups of KTR. Dataset are presented as box plots with whiskers representing the 5th and the 95th percentile, N = 14 KTR exhibiting PHAII-like phenotype and N = 44 KTR without a full PHAII phenotype. Statistical significance was assessed using Kruskal-Wallis test.
