Wild-type (wt) or mutant CBF-A proteins were assayed for their ability to bind 5′-³²P G′2 5′-tail TeR2 DNA as described in Materials and Methods. In parallel, the relative capacity of the proteins to stabilize 5′-³²P G′2 5′-tail TeR2 DNA against denaturation for 7 min at 51°C was assayed as detailed in the legend to Figure 2B.
