Note.— Values were compared between subjects without and subjects with a nonsynonymous sequence variation in PCSK9 that was significantly associated with decreased plasma LDL-C level in the DHS blacks (Y142X, L253F, A443T, and C679X). All lipoprotein levels and BMIs were adjusted for age and sex by linear regression. Percentages were compared by two-sided Fisher’s exact test, means were compared by two-sided Welch t test, and medians were compared by two-sided Wilcoxon rank sum test.
Data are mean ± SD unless otherwise indicated.
