Supernatants of macrophage cultures were collected following treatment with 1 μg/ml LPS in the absence or presence of 50 μm 1400W for NO measurement. Results are shown as the mean ± S.E. of two independent experiments, each representing pooled macrophages from three to four mice. B, iNOS protein levels in peritoneal macrophages. Macrophages were treated with LPS as described in A. Protein levels of iNOS and β-actin were measured by Western blotting.
